The spiced, whipped cream cheese foam on top adds a decadent, cheesecake-like layer that pairs beautifully with the earthy notes of matcha. Inspired by the viral Trader Joe's whipped carrot cake cream cheese spread, this drink is a must-try for any carrot cake lover.
Carrot Cake Matcha Latte
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Trader Joe's whipped carrot cake cream cheese spread
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- 4g matcha powder
- 40ml hot water
- 120ml milk of choice
- Splash of agave or sweetener of choice
- Sprinkle of cinnamon
Instructions
- Whisk cream cheese spread and heavy cream until smooth and fluffy.
- Sift matcha into a bowl.
- Add hot water and whisk until frothy.
- Drizzle sweetener into a glass.
- Fill the glass with ice.
- Pour in milk.
- Add matcha on top.
- Pour over carrot cake cream top.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon and enjoy!
Notes:
For a dairy-free version, use a vegan cream cheese and coconut cream for the foam. Adjust sweetener to your liking!
